- ActiveX Controls:
- They are subprograms launched by a browser, that can interact with page content.
They are executable code which are built for a specific operating system and platform
(eg. IE Explorer and Windows).

- Ad hoc Network:
- Is a temporary network connecting two or more wireless
computers, without requiring a wireless access point. The computer's network
adapters communicate directly with each other.
Supports only WEP (wired equivalent privacy) encryption or an open unsecured network.

- Adware:
- Is software installed on your system, which tracks your Web wanderings.
It sends marketing data back to its point of origin.
Also it serves up adds in the form of pop-up windows.
- Application:
- Is a program loaded into memory by the user, to perform a specialized function,
which is being acted upon by the computer operating system.These programs are displayed on the Taskbar.

- Byte:
- A byte usually consists of 8 bits.
A bit is the smallest unit of data in a computer, it has a single binary value of
either 1 or 0.A byte's value can range from 0 to 255.
